Later in the season, both of Gabe’s quarterbacks were fighting for the MVP. We had gabe dip the pen and write a plea on Bleacher Report for a Co-MVP award.
Rodgers and Mahomes For Co-MVP
– An Unbiased Agent’s Opinion
By Gabe Gabriel
The season is coming to a close and that means it’s time to crown the league MVP. A player so important, so perfect, so one-of-a-kind, that there’s two of them. Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes.
“Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes?!” Yes, Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes.
I know what you’re thinking. We can’t have two. Well anonymous reader, we most certainly can. It’s happened three other times, and if I have anything to do with it, it’ll happen again.
Editor's note: He will have nothing to do with it.
First off, Most Valuable Player and Most Valuable Players still spell MVP.
Editor's note: MVP is an acronym, not a spelling.
Grammatical destiny? I think so. Grammar aside, consider this...
Let’s just take a moment to think about Aaron Rodgers. A quarterback with indisputable heart, dedication, and mustache groomsmenship. He once told me, “If I can command each hair on my upper lip, I can command the offense down the field.” And this season, he’s proven that to be true.
And let’s continue thinking about a perfect quarterback as we shift our focus to Patrick Mahomes. Maybe think about him taking off his helmet to release those curls onto the camera. Honestly, when in the history of the sport has a QB been capable of looking into the stands and making direct eye-to-fry contact with a french fry being dunked into a bath of ketchup, while simultaneously throwing a 75 yard touchdown? Never.
So MVP voters, wherever you are, whoever you are, whatever you are, please consider Rodgers & Mahomes for co-MVPs. Rodgers & Mahomes. That sounds like the beginning of a beautiful buddy comedy. Two quarterbacks taking the field every Sunday, or Monday, or the occasional Thursday, with their trusty sports agent right between them. Wow, I really love that idea. I hope my assistant is reading this. Kevin, if you’re reading this, please get me Hollywood on the phone.
